As we embark on this exciting journey, we want to introduce our Back-to-School webpage, designed to provide you with all the essential information and resources you need for a successful and fulfilling school year.

Enrollment & Registration
Atlanta ISD is accepting new and transfer students. Enrollment packets are available at all campuses. Returning students will register online.
The following documents are needed for new student registration:
- Child’s birth certificate
- Child’s Social Security Card
- Proof of residency (utility bill)
- Immunization record
- Parent/Guardian’s driver’s license or other photo ID
Returning Students
Online registration for students who are returning to Atlanta ISD will open on July 21 through the Parent Portal. Those needing assistance with online registration may go to the campuses during registration times.
Atlanta Primary School:
July 24, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Atlanta Elementary School:
August 1, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Atlanta Middle School (Registration/Schedule Pick-Up):
Friday, August 1
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Registration for all students who have not already registered online.
Tuesday, August 5
5-7 p.m. – Schedule pick-up for those who registered online. Registration assistance will be available in the library for those still needing to register. Chromebook pick-up for eighth graders only.
Atlanta High School (Registration/Schedule Pick-Up):
Online registration in the Parent Portal must be completed prior to picking up schedules. Assistance is available; however, students will not be allowed to get their schedules, IDs or Chromebooks until online registration is complete.
Seniors – July 28, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Juniors – July 30, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Sophomores – July 30, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Freshmen – July 31, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Meet-the-Teacher
Attending meet-the-teacher events is important for parents, students, and teachers to get to know each other and establish positive relationships, which can ultimately lead to academic success.
Here are the dates for each campus’ meet-the-teacher event:

August 4, 5-6 p.m.
Atlanta Elementary School
August 4, 5-6 p.m.
August 4, 6:15 p.m. Up the Hill for incoming third graders
Atlanta Middle School
August 5, 5-7 p.m. (All grades)

Breakfast & Lunch
All students eat FREE! Atlanta ISD qualifies to operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows the district to provide breakfast and lunch at no charge. Check our Food Services page closer to the start of school for the upcoming menus.
Transportation
Atlanta ISD provides bus transportation to and from school and the after-school program for its students. For more information on signing your child up to ride the bus, contact your child’s campus.

After-School Program
ACE, our after-school program, provides academic assistance and enrichment activities, as well as free dinner and transportation afterward. More information will be coming soon. Download the registration form.
