Alternative Education

Alternative Education

Atlanta ISD is committed to meeting the needs of every learner by providing flexible, supportive, and meaningful educational pathways that cater to individual learning styles. We recognize that students learn in different ways and may require unique environments, additional structure, or individualized support to achieve success. Our Alternative Education programs are designed to ensure that every student—regardless of circumstance—has access to a safe, engaging, and productive learning experience.

Through the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) and the FLEX Program, AISD offers targeted instruction and personalized guidance that help students stay on track academically while addressing behavioral, social, or life challenges that may impact their education. These programs work together to promote self-discipline, responsibility, academic growth, and personal development.

By providing structured support and alternative pathways, Atlanta ISD empowers students to overcome obstacles, build confidence, and return to their campus or continue forward with the skills they need for long-term success.
